University Purchases
UConn Co-op now features HuskyPC Program - Dell & Apple
The UConn Co-op works closely with the UConn Purchasing Department and UITS to provide sales and support services for the HuskyPC computer program at the University of Connecticut. Currently, there are two platforms and vendors supported at UConn - Windows and Mac (Dell & Apple). The UConn Co-op's Technology Showroom on the main campus in Storrs, currently has demo units of all of the University standards. For more information about purchasing a University-supported Apple or Dell computer, please visit the HuskyPC Program website.
Purchases
To purchase a University "standard" Dell Computer for a department with University funds, please visit the HuskyPC Program website and click on the "Windows" link at the top of the page. There are price quotes available for printing from this web site, detailing the configurations and pricing for the standard configurations. You may use these price quotes along with your requisition to the University Purchasing department to generate a purchase order. If you would like to purchase a Dell Computer for your own personal use with personal funds, please visit our Personal Purchases page for details.
Support
The UConn Co-op has been contracted by Dell Computer to provide support services for the University on a "break / fix" basis. The UConn Co-op has Dell-Certified technicians on it's staff that will be deployed to all UConn campuses for the purpose of repairing warranty hardware issues with Dell desktop or notebook computers. However the first stop for departments who are experiencing issues with Dell equipment is the University Help Desk (6-4357 or helpdesk@uconn.edu). If an issue is deemed by UITS staff to be a hardware issue, a service ticket will be generated to the UConn Co-op requesting hardware assistance. All software questions and issues will be handled directly by the Help Desk.
